Hi there, I’m Sophie
I work as a project manager, am a parent, and I’m an expat based in Paris, France.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Relocating to France wasn’t part of the long-term plan. Like many expat moves, it began as a work opportunity and quickly became something much bigger.
Moving to France wasn't in the plan for the long run. As with many international assignments, it started as a job chance and soon grew into something far greater.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But slowly, routines formed. We discovered places that worked for us, met other families, and started building something that felt stable.
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Gradually routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Built Fresh Frame Route
Most information online was either corporate-level relocation advice or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was honest, day-to-day family perspective.
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was a truthful, everyday family viewpoint.
This site exists to close that gap — practical guidance based on real life in France.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in France.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Practical experience from living in France
- Focused on family life and everyday realities
- Updated when something genuinely changes
This site ISN'T:
- A tourism authority resource
- Sponsored review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in France continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information is useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, feel free to reach out.
Cheers,
Sophie
